Letter from Recruitment Chair
Dear Potential Members,
On behalf of the women of Delta Gamma, we would like to say congratulations on your decision to participate in formal recruitment!
Over 140 years ago, Delta Gamma was founded on the core values of sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and service. We strive to foster high ideals of friendship, to promote educational and cultural interests, to create a true sense of social responsibility, develop the best qualities of character and to uphold and enforce our values.
To the members of Delta Gamma here at Mizzou, sisterhood is a bond that will keep us together for a lifetime. Through living together, studying together, and being there for each other, life-long friendships are created that will last far beyond your four years at the University of Missouri.
Whether it is within Delta Gamma, on a sports field, with another campus organization, or in the classroom, our members are leaders who strive for excellence. Delta Gamma’s are representatives of Homecoming Steer Co., Greek Week Steer Co., Golden Girls, cheerleaders, Summer Welcome leaders, athletes, and volunteers in the community. We are constantly working hard to live up to our motto: ‘Do Good.’
Every fall, Delta Gamma hosts our annual philanthropy called Anchor Splash – a synchronized swimming competition where members of fraternities at Mizzou participate to raise money and awareness for the visually impaired. This past year, DG raised over $16,000! We also participate in many Greek events on campus such as Homecoming, Greek Week, RAMS and fraternity and sorority philanthropies.
At the University of Missouri, Delta gamma is a place where you can grow and challenge yourself to become a better person. It is a place to call home! We look forward to meeting you during recruitment!
