ANCHOR SPLASH

Delta Gamma's Anchor Splash is one of the most popular sorority philanthropies on campus. Fraternities create teams and each is assigned a group of DG coaches who teach them a dance routine that ends with the boys in the pool! The teams wear funny costumes and the dancing gets pretty silly. For the past two years, Anchor Splash has taken place in the Mizzou Rec Pool and anyone can attend. It’s a fun time for the competing boys, coaches, judges and those cheering on in the stands! The money raised through team entry fees, donations, and t-shirt sales go towards Delta Gamma's Foundation, benefiting Service for Sight. In addition to the dance routine, fraternities perform serenades, design banners and compete in our "Most Beautiful Eyes" competition.

HOOPS FOR TROOPS

Hoops for Troops is our philanthropy event during the spring semester where fraternities and other organizations all come together for a basketball competition. The DG's serve as coaches for the teams and cheer them on from the sidelines. This past year, the event made $9,000, which went towards Service for Sight: Joining Forces. This part of our philanthropy benefits veterans with visual impairments, a cause very close to our hearts.
